Secondary copper mineral often associated with azurite, cuprite, and native copper: Cu2 CO3 (OH) 2. Basic copper carbonate, Cu ((OH) 2 / CO3).
Density from 3.9 to 4.1. Hardness from 3.5 to 4.
Beautiful dark veined green. Polished, it is used as a semi-precious stone.
Fears water and heat.

In Egypt, the nobles made up their eyes with malachite powder.
